The work safeguards 53 traditional songs from the Pastoral dance, recorded in lyrics and musical score based on the memory of the masters of this tradition.

Written in the field of Cultural History, the article presents aspects of traditional Christmas dramatizations in Bahia from the perspective of Bahian folklorists from the 19th and 20th centuries.

Dedicated to the young people of Simões Filho, the booklet presents in clear language the historical background of local pastoral dances, highlighting the Dona Pina (Mrs Pina) in Palmares and its importance as an Intangible Heritage of the municipality.
