In the post-abolition period, in a Bahia that still has imperial features, Celice was born to a prosperous black family. Having trained at the Institute of Music, her career as a pianist and music teacher is intertwined with the history of Salvador in the 20th century.

Starring traditional cooks and filmed by the daughters of these masters during the pandemic, the short film reveals secrets behind the preparation of four recipes served at pastoral dances in Bahia.

Transmitted orally for decades, three traditional songs from pastoral dances around Salvador are presented in video clips starring the Queimada da Palhinha Choir.
